A brow delicately rose at the other’s remark, jaw clenching as she bit back a curse. -Stiff? I am not.- Though the words died at the back of her throat; optics narrowed as she watched the other move about the room.
“Co-ed?” She mimicked—; though her visage remained calm the gesture that of which her brows knitted in confusion went against her usual demeanor. Lips subtly forming a thin line as she turned her head to the side, refusing to meet the other’s gaze; let alone to see the other’s face.
Sabertooth. Though the guild did nothing in particular to anger the Mermaid—a certain Tigress of theirs would flash before her eyes, the painstakingly familiar metal surface of the blade as it stabbed her would resurface in her mind as any member of the said guild would show their face to her. Then, the memories would escalate moving from the stinging sensation she would feel in her abdomen to a certain comrade being tortured.
——;Pulling herself from her own thoughts, her tongue would click in annoyance; arms crossed as she diverted her gaze to the Sabertooth Mage. “Yes, that is correct." She affirmed, tone laced with the same icy tone as always—and as she once again diverted her eyes a certain metal plank splayed across a wooden door would catch her attention, the familiar insignia of Mermaid Heel intricately stamped on the piece of metal. -Guess the rooms are shared afterall-
"So might as not be so tense since we will be stuck together for a few days.”
The Slayer’s former sentence came to mind, eyes subtly rolling as a sigh would slip past her lips. “—and lose my guard? I’m afraid that, that will never happen, Eucliffe.” She paused, head deftly tilted to the side. “Afterall, I would not dare put my guard down when a man like you is practically standing right outside my room.” She stated smoothly, a scowl replacing her monotonous expression as she turned her back on the Blonde; brows furrowing as she partially retraced her steps—
”Who is the Master of your Guild again?” She asked, albeit hesitantly as she placed a hand on the hilt of her sword whilst the other held the baggage which she has unfortunately forgotten.
—-; The reason for the sudden curiosity? It was a trivial question if she were to be asked and yet again, it wasn’t. Afterall, despite of her cold demeanor and blunt responses; she still had her manners—and acting in such an irrational manner such as to bicker with one of the guild members would be quite informal. “I’ve merely heard that your guild has changed its Master because of the former’s sudden accident. The other details I know nothing of.”
—-;and as a woman of valor—as her comrades would like to put it- she wouldn’t dare do anything immoral once the former’s guild master has returned. Though, when a thought would suddenly resurface on her mind; optics would scrutinize the Blonde before a scoff would escape her lips. -Yeah, right. That’s not even humanely possible.-
Yet again, maybe it was but then again--maybe it wasn’t.
光 ≻ A small chuckle passed his lips as he watched her expression change and her face scrunch up. To him, it was sort of amusing–and cute–to see her react in such a way. All he was doing was making conversation, was that so bad? Though, he could probably take up some lessons on being tactful and such. Perhaps, yes. For now though, he’d go with the flow as usual and hopefully not be killed in the process.
光 ≻ A smile stayed plastered on his face as he put his hands out to the side and shrugged, "ey ey~ thought I’d ask, jsut in case. No need to get so huffy Princess~” Another chuckle came from the blond as he took two steps back, taking notice to hos uncomfortable she must be to the new of their co-ed space. “Relax though, I ain’t gonna go near your room. So just loosen up and stop worryin’. Worryin’ so much is gonna damage your health and make wrinkles appear on your lovely face~" He gave another cheery laugh, hoping to lighten the tense atomosphere and it was probably in vain, but hell he had to try. He turned slightly, looking around the room and turned his auburn eyes back on her. "Hn? Guild Master?" He echoed and blinked in confusion at her. His lips shut as she spoke again and he grinned, amused by this.
‘Oh this is too good. Apparently she has not heard yet at all of the entirety of the news~’
光 ≻ For a few moments, the blond stood there, smirking and enjoying the swords woman’s confusion. This was just too perfect. He could be nice and tell her—or puzzle her and mess with her a bit.
….On second thought, he liked not having an injuries and remembering her fight with Yukino, whom he now sees as a strong comrade, he remembered how strong and deadly she was.
光 ≻ A toothy grin spread across his bright features as he turned to her. "You’re lookin’ right at 'im." he answered and closed his eyes, "you only heard part of the news. But~ I took over as guild master after the games finished." Eyes opened once again as he shifted them to look over at her. "Surprised, are we?" he chuckled again and continued, reclaling her words of what she knew. ”…Yeah, accident. Let’s….go with that.“ Gloved digits rubbed the back of his head, ruffling up his blond hair. Thinking back to that incident sent a coldness throughout him. That memory of fear, sadness, anguish…and anger vibrated throughout his mind, sending flashes of that memory to his mind once more. Briefly, his eyes saddened and he shook his head and flashed a bright grin, "they couldn’t have picked any one better, am I correct~?”
