Oh she knew who, Sting Eucliffe was but giving him the satisfaction that she knew of him was not going to happen. It was embarrassing really. Since he was pretty known and she… well lets just say she was a bookworm. The blonde did have friends but she tried not to bring so much attention to herself.
Was he mocking her? Nose crinkling at his continuous attempt to try to make her chose between obviously two things that she would hardly consider. Pay for a shirt or go out with him? Already low on money and really had no need to buy this guy a shirt… but she would never—
”Why do you say it like that? Why a d-date? Can’t it be something else?”
She, Lucy Heartfilia, has never been on a date once. And why would she want to have her first one with a boy that always had to wear that smug face. For all she knew that “date” would be him teasing her the whole time. And what “ways” did he have to know her name?
“I— No. I don’t know your name.”
Was it a lie? Of course it was. If he was going to be playing games with her then she was not far behind. His high and mighty act just caused her to roll her eyes because it was typical of him and she knew that. The red hue was going to be hard to hide, spread across the arc of her small nose.
”N-no I am not afraid! I can go on a d-date with you if I wanted to! It has nothing to do with being afraid. A-and don’t say my name that way.”
How in gods name could he be having this effect on her? Making her nervous? Yes! And it frustrated her to no end. And it really didn’t help when her face was beat red just from those silly words that left his tongue.
Oh this was just too much fun for him. Just seeing her getting all flustered amused him to no end. The redder she got, the more amused and thrilled he became and the more fuel for him to set fire to.
A chuckle surpassed his lips as a smirk tugged on his lips. “Naw, ya gotta. After all, I do not see how you could really resist a date with me. No one really has passed up a date with me~ You’d be blessed to go on a date with me really.” Oh how arrogant he was. He thought much too highly of himself that often clouded his vision, hiding what he truly felt deep down. Deep down, feelings he did not dare to share as he felt his world he built for himself would shatter before his very eyes.
A brow raised as his eyes trailed over her face, watching it as her nose crinkled and her eyes flashed. Another chuckle as she responded. “Oh~?Is that so? Then, why don’t you~? Lu~cy~?" He echoed again, ignoring her wish. His eyes brightened seeing her turn red; it was working. "If you don’t wanna go on a date with me, then why is your face so red? Hm? That’s the angry-red, I know angry red. So why don'tcha jsut give up and spend an evening with me. Really, what’s the worst that could happen? Ask yourself, wouldya?”
