I agree with this. I feel like he will die but somehow comes back by the greatest Magic that Lucy mentioned, Love and returned years later, hair all grown out, and scarf trailing and a long tattered cloak and he walks into guild hall SEVEN years later. The guild falls silent and he stops behind Lucy and grins, and says “Ey Lucy ya all fired up?” and tears roll down her face (already had) and turns around and hugs him crying. Oops.
